New Horizon at Our Horizon

keig Filed Under: Labels:

From Our Twitter Following:

As we reflect back on how our website grew, we realized we had to go back to the source of the word-spreading and return the love back to people who have helped us where we are today. So, we went back to Twitter. We speak to a lot of people there, some reply back, some ignore, some retweet our post, and some send the love back to us. (yup, we've been lucky.)

So today, we're featuring one of our tweeps (Twitter Peeps), @new_horizon

New Horizon, the premium dive charter, offers great scuba diving and snorkeling tour in Cairns, Australia. How great is it, you may ask. Let us start by saying that they have 6 reefs they can take you to. (did we say Great Barrier Reefs?) They also do this by taking only a small group of people at a time so that you get full attention you deserve during the trip. Not only that, they include all meals, offer hot shower and towels & linens etc. to list a few. And you know what they want you to bring out of everything? "Be ready for a fantastic time."

Their diving package starts from AU$160 (as of today, it's about 137 US dollars.) for 4 dives. What's more, all paid dives include all necessary scuba diving equipment at no extra charge. Who would offer that nowadays!!!

Let us also add that peeps from New Horizon will answer you if you have any questions. They will talk to you on Twitter, e-mail, or whatever. You may wonder why we bolded letters - it's important that you ask questions, it's very important any dive operators answer honestly & clearly in your language so that you have fab experience.

Dive T-Shirts Runner-Up

keig Filed Under: Labels:
From... list.

So, we always wanted to do this but needed some time to research. And we also wanted to know what kind of things dive peeps would look for when purchasing cool-lookin' dive Ts. Of course, you don't want the same one that your dive buddy has. You want to make him/her say "where did you get this t-shirt???" Don't worry, we did some research for you. We also asked around. Below is the list of peeps that sell cool-lookin' T-shirts. Remember, this is based on our research and not one soul paid us to list them, so it's a PURE list. We are sure there are more. If you find any that are not listed, make sure to keep us posted. (The list is not in any order...)

Hope this satisfies your weekend dive apparel cravings! Have a safe dive this weekend!

Diet Coke... Maui... We'll Take Both.

keig Filed Under: Labels:
From Twitter:

Got a tip from our new tweeting buddy, @LasseHarkanen, that Coca-Cola (yes, that Coke.) and the Honua Kai Cafe Resort & Spa
in Ka'anapali, Maui (Hawaii) have been running sweepstakes!

For those who do not know, Coke has their own reward program called My Coke Reward. You drink Coke, go to the website, http://www.mycokerewards.com, sign up, enter the number on the bottle cap. (no purchase necessary) As you gain points, you have a choice of using your points to exchange with "goods" or to enter yourself in one of those sweepstakes like a vacation to the beautiful island of Maui!

The lucky winner of sweepstakes will receive 2 round trip tickets to Maui by Delta Airline AND 6 night stay in their villa at Honua Kai Cafe Resort & Spa.

Now, we did a bit of researches on this resort, Honua Kai Cafe,
as we never had an opportunity to check it out until our reader's tip. According to the press release, the Honua Kai Cafe in Maui has just opened in January, 2009, in the Northern part of Maui. The published rate for this year runs anywhere from $400/night. The resort will be expanding more in the year of 2010. Amenities that were listed in the press release left us in day-dreaming as the resort is located right on the beach (1 1/2miles of beach path, according to the PR), incredible pool with cabanas, their spa service etc., not to mention that Maui's celebrity chef, James McDonald, is running the gourmet cafe on the premises. (you can read their press release HERE.)

So, if you are a Coca-Cola drinker (or any line of drinks that Coke sells...), why not play @ MyCokeRewards.com, enter yourself in the sweepstake to the FREE trip to Honua Kai Cafe in Maui!!! (and you have our blessings.)

For more information on this sweepstake, visit: http://www.honuakaicafe.com/win-a-vacation-at-the-honua-kai-from-coke.html
For more information on Honua Kai Cafe, visit them on the web: http://www.honuakaicafe.com/

If you are looking for a great information on visiting Hawaii, you must visit: http://www.govisithawaii.com
Or you can follow Go Visit Hawaii on Twitter: @GoVisitHawaii

We also would like to hear some news about this resort if you ever visited them.

We must include this because we care deeply about you and diving safety... Try "WATER" in stead of caffeine when you are on a dive trip! Hydration is very important.

PS> while browsing their website, we notice the word "discount code." If you follow this link, it'll get you to the page where it lists discount codes that you can use for your next resevation at Honua Kai. (http://www.honuakaicafe.com/honua-kai-discount-code.html)
